Project Lead for construction processes

What you can expect from us

As a project manager, you will be responsible for our customer projects and work with a team of around 10 process engineers. You decide who works on which project, conduct customer meetings, and ensure that each individual simulation results in a completed project for the customer.

Our simulation is much more than a visualization: if a single parameter changes, the entire plan automatically adapts. We are developing something completely new: proprietary software for a service that has not existed in this form before. You will be involved from the very beginning as we develop this field together — a rare opportunity to genuinely help shape its future.

More specifically:

• You will build simulations based on construction schedules and planned construction methods, allowing clients to change individual parameters and see immediately how the entire plan shifts as a result.
• You will discuss construction sequences with clients, clarify open questions regarding timing and logistics, and translate them into the simulation.
• Your feedback from projects flows directly into the further development of our software, without detours through tickets or lengthy approval processes.
• We develop the software you work with entirely in-house and are currently rebuilding our own internal processes and tools. Joining us means learning in two areas at once.

Project management is still a relatively new role at our company, and we are currently developing many aspects of it from the ground up. You bring your own experience and help shape how we continue to develop our project management processes and workflows.

What we're looking for

• Several years of experience as a project manager
• Experience in the construction industry is a definite advantage, but not a requirement
• Strong communication skills when dealing with both customers and your own team
• Motivation to work in a young team that is building a lot of things itself, and a willingness to contribute beyond your own area of responsibility when a topic interests you

What we offer

• We bring the same transparency to our own organization that our simulation brings to our customers’ construction projects. You do not need to wait for permission: if you notice something that could work better, you are encouraged to tackle it yourself from day one.
• A high degree of flexibility in how you organize your working hours and location. Our offices in Würzburg and Biberach are of course available if you prefer working on site.
• Competitive benefits as part of a fair overall compensation package.
• Responsibility from day one: with around 10 process engineers, you immediately take on real leadership responsibilities rather than waiting through months of onboarding.

HOW TO APPLY

A CV is all we need; there's no need to write a cover letter. Instead, please provide brief answers to the following:

• We talk a lot about simulation. What does simulation mean to you, and where do you see its potential added value in construction?
• What is your perspective on AI in your work? Where do you see its potential impact on your work with us, and what relevant knowledge or experience do you bring?
• What was your most successful project, and what was your specific contribution to it?

Send your application to applications@bii-gmbh.com. Your contact person is Marlon Gilfert, who is responsible for Process Engineering and will get back to you directly.
