Managing Director
Company
We are BII: an interdisciplinary team of software developers, civil engineers, designers and modelers. Our mission: to make construction projects more predictable, more efficient and less error-prone through digital technology.
Culture
* measured with a wink, but collected with passion.
History
What began as a spin-off of the University of Würzburg and Biberach University of Applied Sciences is today an established partner to the construction industry. A look at the milestones that mattered.
Locations
Based in Würzburg and Biberach an der Riß — closely connected and available for projects throughout the German-speaking region.
Our developer hub — this is where the software, simulation models and digital tools that drive our projects are built. A team of developers and software architects who turn requirements into working products.
Our process engineering hotspot in the south — close to the customer, close to the industry. Our strengths here are construction process planning, process optimization and expert consulting on building.
A further location in Hamburg is being set up.
Team culture
Summer party, hackathon, lunch together — the regular moments that turn colleagues into a team. Swipe or click your way through our everyday life.
What counts here is not the job title but the best idea — and that can come from anyone.
Between code and construction site, we learn from each other every day.
We do not talk about hierarchies, we talk about solutions — and celebrate them together.

Careers
We are looking for motivated people who want to bring technology and construction together. Join an interdisciplinary team and work on projects that make a real difference.
You run our customer projects and a team of around 10 process engineers — from capacity planning to the customer meeting.
As a process engineer you turn construction schedules into a simulation where every change pulls the whole plan with it — the link between site and software.
Nothing that fits? We also look at speculative applications — write us a short note about what you bring and what you would enjoy doing: applications@bii-gmbh.com
Open position
As a project manager you keep an eye on our customer projects and a team of around 10 process engineers. You decide who works on which project and when, lead the customer conversations around that, and make sure individual simulations add up to a completed project for the customer.
Our simulation is more than a visualization: change a single lever and the whole plan adjusts with it. We are building something entirely new here — our own software for a service that did not exist in this form before. You are involved from the start as we open up that field together, which is a rare chance to genuinely shape things from the front.
In concrete terms:
Project management is still a young role here and much of it is only just being built. You bring your own experience and help shape how we develop our project management processes.
A CV is enough for us, you do not need to write a cover letter. Instead, answer these briefly:
Send that to applications@bii-gmbh.com. Questions about the role are answered by Marlon Gilfert, who heads process engineering here and coordinates applications.

A clunky job title, isn’t it? We call this role “process engineer” (PE). As a PE you are a specialist in construction processes and the link between our customers’ projects and our simulation software. What we build is more than a visualization: change one lever — a takt time or a resource, say — and the whole plan adjusts with it. That turns your simulation into a genuine steering instrument for our customers.
In concrete terms:
We are building something entirely new here: our own software for a service that did not exist in this form before. You are involved from the start as we open up that field together, and you can actively help shape it.
A CV is enough for us, you do not need to write a cover letter. Instead, answer these briefly:
Send that to applications@bii-gmbh.com. Your contact is Marlon Gilfert, who heads process engineering here and will get back to you directly.
