Process engineer at the computer, optimizing a construction process together

Optimizing complex projects together

Our process engineers are the people between the construction site and the software. They translate the schedules, resources and constraints of your project into a robust digital model, run the construction processes through and make bottlenecks visible before they arise on site.

A model is only as good as the people behind it

That is why we do not stop at the software. Our process engineers accompany your project personally as a named contact who understands your requirements and advises you with experience from more than 250 different projects.

A dedicated contact
One named contact accompanies your project from the first conversation to the result.
Experience from 250+ projects
Recommendations based on real-world experience from more than 250 completed projects.
Data-based simulation
We simulate using the real output data of your machines and vehicles.
Fast delivery
Quick modeling of project-specific components without long lead times.
Deep system expertise
A thorough grasp of the methodology, logic and capability of the simulation we use.
Construction know-how meets computer science
Construction expertise and digital tooling from a single source.

Would you rather run the simulation entirely yourself? This way to the software!

Requirements & process

What you bring

Getting started takes surprisingly little. Whatever data you have helps. We work out the rest together.

Must-have
What it takes
A construction project
A real project that is going to be built.
An idea of how it will be built
A rough picture of the intended construction process — we work out the details together.
A challenge
The question, the risk or the bottleneck you want to safeguard.
Nice-to-have
What also helps
Existing plans
PDF · Excel · MS Project · …
3D data
IFC · FBX · STEP · …
Site survey data
PDF · point clouds · …
Any other kind of data
in almost any format
Project flow

How a joint project runs

From the first conversation to a robust recommendation — in four clear steps, closely at your side.

On request you receive a video of your project’s detailed construction process once the simulation is complete.

01
First conversation
You describe the project, the idea and the challenge.
02
Data & objectives
You hand over the data you have, and we define the objective together.
03
Modeling & simulation
We build your construction process in the model and run scenarios.
04
Results & recommendation
You receive robust analyses and clear recommendations for action.
Level of detail

As much detail as needed

You do not have to simulate the whole project. Only the places where it hurts. We refine the simulation step by step and stop once your questions are answered.

Four examples of how deep a simulation can go:

Overview
Coarse planning of the whole project to show the process in its spatial context — sometimes still without construction equipment.
Critical areas
A look at the places where it gets tight: complex construction states, interfaces and high-risk phases.
Deep dive
Detailed planning down to equipment and resource level. Here you see exactly how the machines move.
Digital twin
Complete planning at maximum depth. Economical only in special cases today.

How deep we go is something you decide together with us. The effort follows directly from that.

Pricing

No off-the-shelf fixed price

We bill our process engineering services at hourly or daily rates. The rate depends on the complexity of your project and the number of processes examined. That way you only ever pay for the actual effort your project requires.

Process engineering is the consulting service of BII GmbH: the process engineers translate the schedules, resources and constraints of your project into a robust digital model, run the construction processes through and make bottlenecks visible before they arise on site. You need neither your own software nor to build up in-house expertise — a dedicated contact accompanies your project from the first conversation to the result.

Only three things are essential: a real construction project, a rough idea of the intended construction process, and the specific challenge you want to safeguard. Helpful but not required are existing plans (PDF, Excel, MS Project), 3D data (IFC, FBX, STEP) as well as site survey data and point clouds. BII GmbH works with data in almost any format — we work out the rest together.

A process engineering project typically takes four to twelve weeks, depending on the size of the project and the number of processes examined. From the first conversation through data handover and modeling to a robust recommendation, we go through four steps. We respond to your inquiry within one working day.

BII GmbH bills process engineering services at hourly or daily rates. The rate depends on the complexity of your project and the number of processes examined — there is no off-the-shelf fixed price, you pay only for the actual effort your project requires. You receive an individual quote after a short initial conversation.
