With dProB, BII GmbH offers flexible and powerful software for planning, organizing and evaluating construction projects. Further modules and extensions are under development to meet the individual requirements of the construction industry.

What is dProB and how does it work?

dProB is a software solution for the efficient management of construction projects. It offers functions such as visualization and simulation of construction processes, evaluation of relevant performance parameters, and more.

How is the software integrated into my existing system?

dProB fits seamlessly into your BIM workflow. You can import classic BIM data into the software, carry out targeted analyses and validations and then return the results back to your digital workflow or BIM system. dProB serves as a supplementary tool for validating and optimizing planning and execution processes.

Which interfaces are supported?

Geometries can be imported via IFC and FBX, track axes via DXF and LandXML, images in PNG and JPG formats, and schedules in CSV format. Exporting to CSV format is also supported.

What is included in a dProB beta subscription?

Our beta subscription includes access to the software, technical support, and updates. Other options are available upon request.

Can I try dProB before I buy?

A trial period is not provided as standard. If you are still interested in an individual solution, please contact our support team.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription anytime. However, please take into account the notice periods set out in the General Terms and Conditions (GTC), as these determine the effective date of your termination.

Can I export my data from the software if I cancel the license?

Yes, your existing plans and templates are stored locally and will be retained even after the license has been canceled. Please note, however, that these files can only be opened and edited effectively with dProB. In addition, before the license expires, you can export your plans in CSV format so that you can continue using your data.

Will my subscription be automatically renewed?

Yes, the subscription is automatically renewed unless cancelled in due time.

How does license management work in the dProB beta?

In the dProB Beta, you purchase your own license, which allows you to use the software. The subscription is billed monthly and can be canceled at any time. After cancellation, access to the software ends at the end of the current billing period.

When and how do I get software updates?

We are constantly working on the development of our software to provide you with the best possible user experience. We provide regular updates. These include new features as well as improvements and bug fixes so you're always up to date.

How can I buy a license for your software?

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit card payments.

What costs can you expect?

We currently offer the beta version for 50€ per month plus VAT.

On which day is my monthly payment due?

Your payment is due monthly on the date you subscribe.

Are there discounts for major customers or long-term licenses?

Technical requirements

For which devices is dProB available?

dProB is available for Windows PCs.

Do I need any special hardware?

The hardware requirements for dProB vary depending on the complexity of each project. Basically, the more detailed the planning and simulation, the more powerful the hardware should be. A Windows PC with at least 16 GB RAM, a dedicated graphics card and a modern processor is recommended to use dProB.

Can I use my license offline?

Yes, the license can be used offline. However, please note that the software regularly requires an Internet connection to install updates and synchronize licenses. This is at least once every 7 days.

Data protection

How is my data protected in the software?

dProB runs locally on your computer so that no project data is transferred to the Internet. Only your login details are stored online for authentication. If you use the web viewer, the data stored in it is saved on our servers. For customers who prefer their own server solution, we offer individual hosting options — feel free to contact us about this.

Is the data saved on BII GmbH's servers?

Yes, your data is stored on servers in Germany and backed up regularly. Our server provider meets high security, availability and data protection requirements.
